My name is Matt Gonçalves, and I am an author and ghostwriter specialized in historical adventure, science fiction and fantasy. As a native speaker of both American English and Brazilian Portuguese, I have a lengthy experience writing deeply emotional stories with interesting, unusual characters, surprising plots, and extraordinary descriptions.
I was born in Brazil in 1992, in a large industrial city fifty miles East of São Paulo. Almost as soon as I learned to read, I became interested in literature and storytelling. Over the years, I specialized in literary theory and trope analysis, and studied deeply the intricate challenges of bringing a story to life.
Recently, I published my debut novel, a science fiction coming-of-age story called Almost Family. You can see an excerpt of the novel through Amazon’s book preview. I also publish periodic blog entries, articles, and short stories on my website, as well as on WattPad.
